“From One Side to the Other” is a re-edited version of Real Death, originally created in 2019. The work documents the artist’s psychological and emotional state while experiencing cultural conflicts and adapting to a new environment after moving from Korea to the UK. Using rope, paper, fabric, and needle as metaphors, the piece expresses the feelings of entanglement, obstruction, breakthrough, and adaptation that accompany the transition from one environment to another.
